GoalsMapper has successfully renewed its Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM) Certification from the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), recognising the company’s commitment to responsible data protection and strong data governance.

IMDA is a statutory board of the Singapore government that drives the nation’s digital transformation by developing and regulating the infocomm and media sectors, while safeguarding consumer interests and fostering pro-enterprise regulations.

The certification process is undertaken by certification bodies that have been appointed by IMDA.The certification body acts as an independent body to assess that an organisation’s data protection practices conform to the DPTM requirements. Following the independent assessment, it is affirmed that GoalsMapper’s data protection policies and processes meet the standards set out under Singapore’s Data Protection Trustmark framework, developed by the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) and IMDA. The renewed certification is valid for a three-year period from 20 February 2026 to 19 February 2029.

As a financial planning technology platform supporting financial consultants and institutions, GoalsMapper places strong emphasis on safeguarding client information and maintaining trust within the financial ecosystem. Although the DPTM is a voluntary enterprise-wide certification, GoalsMapper chose to invest significant time and resources to undergo the rigorous assessment process in order to further strengthen trust with users, partners, and stakeholders.

About the Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM)

The Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM) is Singapore’s national certification for organisations that demonstrate accountable and responsible personal data protection practices. Administered by IMDA, the certification provides assurance that organisations have implemented sound policies, processes, and governance for managing personal data.

Under the DPTM certification framework, organisations are assessed against comprehensive criteria including responsible collection and use of personal data, consent management, data protection safeguards, trained personnel overseeing data protection, and appropriate processes for breach management and data disposal.

Adapted from the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) as well as international benchmarks and best practices, the framework requires organisations to demonstrate accountability in how personal data is collected, used, protected, and disposed of.
